“Dedicated to those who love classic chairs, the sofas Lutetia and Lutetia Vestis, respectively with a wood base or with a cover, are presented in two different lengths and depths.
In the first version, the blanket stitch profile adds a defining touch in the same colour as the upholstery.
Three alternatives are offered for the version with cover: blanket stitch, profile in the same fabric as the cover or in a contrasting colour of velvet.”

Monobloc, modular sofas, pouf and day bed
Polished aluminium alloy feet. Steel frame. Elastic strips suspension. Seat upholstered with polyurethane/heat-bound polyester fibre. Upholstery of back and armrest in flame-retardant polyurethane foam/ heat-bound polyester fibre. Seat cushion upholstered with goose down – 100% pure material and polyurethane insert. Back cushion with goose down – 100% pure material. Removable fabric or leather cover.

Design: Pierre Paulin (2010)

In 1952, Pierre Paulin designed, for his own personal use, his first significant piece of seating: “At home, I take two broom handles, lean them against a wall, and make a ring out of kraft paper. The trick was played, this seat was like a bag.”

This armchair in mythical leather, produced by Meubles TV in 1954 under the name ‘fauteuil 273’ (also known as ‘Anneau’) remains one of his most beautiful pieces of seating: a piece donated by Pierre Paulin himself can be found in the collections of the musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. A simple ring of taut hide shaped like a bicycle pannier with a pierced back set on a base made from two rectangles of folded steel, it was also the forerunner of his famous Ribbon Chair (1966).

It is in homage to this great designer and by reason of the distinctive shape of its base that Ligne Roset decided to christen this new chair, one of his last creations, ‘Anneau’.

The frame of the seat is constructed from solid beech. The backrest and armrests are in poplar plywood with medium density wood fibre panels. The springiness of the seat is obtained from elastic belts, while the padding is in differentiated-density polyurethane foam and polyester wadding.

Tubular steel feet with chromium-plated or gunmetal finish.”

The ‘Pumpkin’, directly inspired by the ‘Pumpkin’ designed in 1971 for Claude and Georges Pompidou for the drawing rooms of the Elysée Palace, was re-issued by Ligne Roset in 2008.

Traditionally, the chair are mono-colour, however for this occasion it will be in a unique combination of 8 shades of red or blue wool.

Each chair bears a special label numbered from 1 to 150 and the logo “150 ans Ligne Roset”

The 300 units are available worldwide starting in June 2010 and only 42 will be available for the North American market”

Design: Patricia Urquiola (2010)

“The Bend Sofa designed by Patricia Urquiola is a surprising series of seats that transforms the traditional concept of the sofa. The result of advanced digital research and 3D Modeling  the Bend with its curvaceous albeit monolithic forms gives the appearance of being molded from a supple material as if by a sculptor.

Contrasting stitching on the seams highlights the undulating shapes to better convey the idea of movement intrinsic to the design.The irregularly shaped backrest also contributes to this idea and to the calculated eccentricity of the design without compromising the comfort of the sofa .

The Bend series offers great flexibility with many compositional possibilities including double-sided seating arrangements, that can fill a residential or public space with iconic presence. ”
